In addition to its regular programming, the Peace Liard Regional Arts Council initiates special projects in order to create new opportunities for artists in the region. In 2017, the PLRAC carried out several projects in recognition of the 75th Anniversary of the Alaska Highway and the 150th Anniversary of Confederation.
